When Will My Pre-Order Ship?
Why Pre-Orders, Anyway?
Our Premium Lighting Kits are the most elaborate kits we make. Many have multiple options available, and complex special features like lighting effects, remote control, or sound effect speakers.
Each of these kits is hand-built and assembled here in our offices in Rosemount, Minnesota, USA. From soldering all our own Pico LED lights and building the light assemblies, to the final packing and shrink wrapping, we do nearly everything in-house. Rob even personally programs the controller boards! He works around parts shortages by constantly researching alternate sources, and even makes many of the boards right on site.
This level of detail is why we make our Premium Kits in small batches, usually one batch per kit per month. These are available by Pre-order only.
So When Will My Kit Ship?
A batch usually starts shipping at the END of the month indicated. For example, the August Batch starts shipping around the last week of August, and continues into September.
We ship in the order received. Please note that this may mean your kit will ship early in the following month. It also means we can't guarantee a specific delivery date.
When delays happen, Rob tries to keep our pre-order customers updated on the status of kit production with a periodic e-mail newsletter, just for your batch. Otherwise, you are welcome to check in on progress via the help desk. When your kit is ready to ship, we will send out a shipping confirmation email with tracking details, so you know it's coming!
